Because CrossFit is based on functional movements, the need for typical gym equipment and machinery is eliminated. In Fact, one can have a fully operational CrossFit facility with little more than a pull-up bar, a set of Olympic weights, a jump rope, a medicine ball, gymnast rings, and some open space.

CrossFit utilizes the same, correct movements that are scalable and universal.
